I had an Bad incident with my new  Gigalink-8 unit, I decided to use it on it's first job for a low level aerial wedding. I had seven boards to be placed on a flat  pontoon boat to shoot. We're in Florida and it was a calm day,  so we put the boat in place at sunset. The wireless unit in a plastic bag, under a pail with a folding chair over the pail.
An hour  later a hurricane style storm Cell came in over the lake. When I arrived at the boat after the lightening stopped I found the wireless unit  exposed the chair and pail gone due to wind.
The Gigalink 8 had water setting on the yellow panel as well as inside the unit. I thought it was wasted at this point.

When I got home I opened up the unit and dumped the 2/3 cup of water out. Blew Dry the inside. Today I left it out in the sun for an hour and then tried it. What do you make these units out of ....  cause it worked, which was amazing and acted normal in all functions and shot matches like nothing happened.

I can't believe that it would withstand this sort of abuse?

I just think Pyromate rocks!!!!!!!!!
